Think the most important thing to do to optimise an RSS 2.0 feed and so to have a little boost to win this Globalwarming Awareness2007 SEO contest is to add tags in our RSS feeds.

Adds tag in our feeds is important to thematize our contents to the feed spiders and to the feed aggregators like Technorati.

Many SEO, in this contest, link to Technorati tags using keywords like Seo contest, Globalwarming Awareness2007, SEO World Championship, etc... and if we are there, well, think that's good :D

To tag our feeds we can use the subject element of the Dublin Core Element Set.

Its definition is:

Subject
The topic of the resource.
Typically, the topic will be represented using keywords, key phrases, or classification codes. Recommended best practice is to use a controlled vocabulary.

The Dublin Core Element Set Namespace Declarations is: xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/.
